Dear constituents and residents of the great city of Waterbury:

I have worked diligently to serve you in Hartford since 2002. Since that first election, I have always had one thought in mind: that the people of Waterbury's great East End have put their faith and trust in me. I never intend to let you down. The citizens of Waterbury are my strength, and knowing that you have elected me to represent you is not something I take lightly.

November 4, 2008 was a great day for our campaign as the voters trusted me once again to continue my representation of my city. I am truly humbled by your support. Additionally, I am thankful for the numerous volunteers who dedicated their time, energy, and money to work the polls and to manage our campaign. They are fondly known as "Team Selim"; and the win is theirs to cherish.
