Noujaim to Present Grant to East End Senior Center
WATERBURY- Representative Selim Noujaim (R-74th
District) will present a $7,500 grant to the East End Senior Center. The
grant funds, obtained by Noujaim through the Capitol Expense Grant
program, will be used to paint the interior, replace carpeting and install
bulletin boards, as well as other long overdue and much needed
improvements.
The presentation will take place at the East End Senior Center on
August 5th, 2004, at 11:30 a.m. at a joint luncheon between members of the
Center and the Agency on Aging.
“I am very pleased that we were able to secure this grant,” said
Representative Noujaim. “A number of people involved with the Senior
Center were instrumental in applying for this grant as well, and I extend
my sincere congratulations to them on this successful venture. The Senior
Center will receive much needed improvements as a result of this grant,
and I am very happy that I was able to be of service to the Center in this
way.”
Representative Noujaim is serving his second term representing
Waterbury’s East End in the Connecticut General Assembly.
