First Light Power Resources Vice President for External Affairs James A. Ginnetti, presents a $10,000 check to Allan Philibert, Commander of Wheeler Young VFW Post 201 to help fund construction of a new post home. Representative Noujaim, to right of Mr. Ginnetti, worked with First Light officials to secure the grant from the company. First Light will be operating The Waterbury Generation Project, a 96 megawatt generator being built on a brownfield site on Washington Avenue. Representative Selim Noujaim calls for the repeal of the $250 Business Entity Tax at a news conference at the Legislative Office Building at the State Capitol today. The tax affects about 120,000 Connecticut businesses and is widely regarded as a nuisance tax that if repealed, would help create more jobs, encourage more business investment, and stimulate the economy.
